As Election Day approaches, is there something called election burnout when it comes to travel?
Apparently, there is. A look at upcoming reservations data indicates a jump in flight bookings and hotel reservations immediately before Election Day. It seems that many folks may be voting early and then traveling out of town during the election. Even some hotels and resorts are adjusting to this.
The O2 Beach Resort in Barbados is now offering what they call an Election Recovery Package — regardless of your political affiliation, with 65% off a three-night stay, a complimentary spa experience, and yes, a bottle of champagne to be used either to celebrate or commiserate.
You can book this until November 4th, the day before Election Day.
